Monday Gratitude: Things I Love

I started Monday Gratitude earlier this year and I’ve have so much fun with it. I figured I should keep it going. What do you say?

What is Monday Gratitude?

Monday Gratitude is a new feature on my blog where I’ll be listing neat things that I find and the events, books, blogs, and people that I’m thankful for.

small-tear-heart  I’ve been so obsessed with my backyard lately. I’ve never really enjoyed gardening but I’ve been wanting to fix it up. It doesn’t help that I have the smallest backyard ever. But I love it. And I’m loving it even more with every little improvement. I bought a bunch of plants last weekend and I plan on making it perfect by June. I even made a Pinterest board to inspire me!

small-tear-heart A good doctor is hard to find! That’s why I absolutely LOVE Dr. Sean Alley at  Beach Garfield Vet Hospital. I think I end up hugging him every time I see him. He takes such great care of my pets and he’s so caring and kind and SO knowledgeable. Recently, my newest pup Nova was spayed and I was so nervous. But, of course, there was nothing to fear because Dr. Alley’s steady hands were in control. She’s already feeling so much better and her incision was so small I was amazed. Earlier this year, Raynor was sick with pancreatits. We brought him in and it was Dr. Alley’s day off. Even though it was his day off AND he was sick, HE CAME IN TO THE OFFICE to take care of Raynor. This man is amazing. I never want to take my pets to anyone else.

small-tear-heart Lost & Taken recently posted free watercolor textures on their blog for use. Check them out and snag ’em for free!

small-tear-heart I’m in love with this free font called Eight Fifteen. Yep. Free.

small-tear-heart My friend Amy just released her debut novel THE BLEEDING HEART. You can buy a copy now. I’ve bought a copy but I almost want to buy five more to just stare at the pretty. See what I mean?

small-tear-heart There’s speculation that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood will open up around March 21, 2016 and I couldn’t be happier! You can read the article here that’s gotten my hopes up.

small-tear-heart I say this all the time to them BUT I am SO utterly grateful for my Midnight Society team. It consists of  Amy Giuffrida, Faith McKay, Timon Skees, Kathy Palm, Suzy G., Kira Butler, Jennifer Brinkmeyer, and Kim Graff. They really are so incredible, talented, and the future of horror. And for their friendship, knowledge, and enthusiasm, I’m grateful.

small-tear-heart So I follow this Everything Summer Pinterest Board and it suggested freezing blueberries. So I did. And OH MY GOD. Best summer hack I’ve never thought of. It’s like eating candy. Try it. And thank me later.

small-tear-heart KISSING KISSING KISSING! If you want to hear a fun song or watch a super sexy music video that goes along with it, check out Lips by Human Human.

What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments below!

You make me smile! Right now, I am grateful for watching both my kids play ball. So much fun. 🙂 And The Midnight Society is the best thing EVER.

I <3 you! Thank you for all of your kind words. It's wonderful having such a great group of strong horror gals for support!

I'm so thankful for being able to hang out with bookish people at BEA.
